Today Kaylee and I took the kids to Tanaka Farms to go pick strawberries. We were just there in October for the pumpkin patch and it's amazing how fast things are planted and grown. They are an organic farm where no pesticides are used. They grow tons of fruits and vegetables. By the way, did you know that a green bean is a fruit. If it has seeds, then it is considered a fruit, along with tomatoes, squash, cucumbers and walnuts.
So the first thing we did was go on a tractor ride around the farm. We got to taste different fruits, vegetables and herbs like celery, green onion, green beans, lettuce, carrots, snap peas and cilantro. Lauren tried almost all of it. It was pretty good. I think they were trying to fill you up a little so you don't eat so many strawberries. We then went to the strawberry fields where we got out and picked our strawberries. We filled our basket to take home and we ate all the strawberries we wanted. Lauren ate a lot! She had a messy red face and hands. We all had a lot of fun!
