We LOVE camping! It has been a monthly thing for us this summer and we can't seem to get enough of it. The kids absolutely love it and we are making lots of fun family memories. San Clemente was our latest adventure. We go every year and it seems that every year our group is expanding. Pretty soon Orangeview Church of Christ will be reserving the entire campground. It was so much fun! Thankfully we had no injuries and everyone stayed healthy, for the most part(I got a little run down from staying up late every night and ended up losing my voice when we got home), but other than that it was another successful camping adventure.
The kids enjoyed being kids which is the best part of the whole experience. The older ones would take off on their bikes whenever they felt and explore the area and visit other friends in their campsites. We went to the beach everyday and the kids enjoyed boogy boarding and playing in the sand. There is a train that goes right along the beach so Blake was obsessed (with supervision of my Dad) in putting coins on the train track. We also did a lot of fishing on the beach and caught baby sharks, sand perch and corbina. All the kids loved that and this was Lauren's first time fishing. She would hold her pole, feel the fish on it and bring it in all by herself. She thinks she's big and has to keep up with her older brother and sister, of course. She would even tell me, "Go away mom, go stand by Papa, I can do it myself."
The evenings were always filled with fun and laughter with our friends around the campfire. The Stewarts, Renolds, us, my parents, my sister and Matt and the Austins were talking, playing silly games, making smores and eating my dad's yummy pies he made over the fire. A couple nights Kaylee had her friends come stay and we also had our friends, the Ventura's stay for a couple nights. There were some other families from our church that were there and they were a super large group as well. All in all we had a wonderful time and can't wait for our next camping trip!

There were dolphins swimming really close and around people. Sooo Cool!
